Based in Brooklyn, New York, Jelani “Lani” Wray is an experienced A&R and production manager currently serving as a music production manager at Humble King Records. In this role, he works to identify and acquire new talent, which involves handling distribution agreements and licensing agreements, as well as management of recording budgets and marketing efforts. He works with the company’s marketing department and digital teams on social media rollouts, as well as press and sales opportunities, and also works to secure radio support. Previously. Jelani “Lani” Wray functioned as head of A&R at FreeForm Productions, where he acquired new talent while working directly with the artists and their management.

Jelani Wray attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in music and performing arts, as well as marketing. He has lent his voice and expertise to panels at SXSW, A3C, and the Winter Music Conference. He has also been a guest speaker at New York University and Lincoln University.
